Rooted is a 10-week experience that gives you the chance to connect with God and with the Mercy Road community. Whether you have followed Jesus for a long time or are new to faith in Christ, it has the potential to shape your spiritual growth more than anything else you do this year.
Ten weeks to
grow in your faith
Rooted runs for ten weeks in groups of 10 to 15 people. Groups meet in person on Wednesday nights at the church, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm, and every group is led by a trained facilitator who comes alongside you the whole way through.
It is a place for questions and conversation, and one of the most unique and important experiences we have at Mercy Road. Rooted is designed to give you a glimpse of your story inside God's story, and it is often a catalyst for real life change.
Who it's for
Anyone. Whether you've followed Jesus for decades, you're just beginning to explore faith, or you're somewhere in between, Rooted is designed to help you grow in your faith and build real community. You don't need to have it all figured out before you join.
When it runs
Rooted is offered 3 times a year: a fall session, winter session, and a spring session.

Explore the Bible
Spend time in Scripture each week, learn how to engage with God's Word, and make space for the questions you're actually asking.

Rooted includes opportunities to pray and serve together, putting your faith into practice beyond the group.

You'll share your story, hear the stories of others, and build relationships with people who are walking through Rooted alongside you.

Rooted is $20 per person. Childcare is available for an additional $15.

Rooted groups meet at the church on Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Check the current session details when you register for the next available dates.
You'll receive everything you need during Week 1 of Rooted.
We encourage you to prioritize all 10 weeks. Rooted is designed to be experienced together, and being present each week helps you and your group get the most out of the experience. If you already know you'll miss more than two sessions, we encourage you to wait for a future session.
Our Rooted team prayerfully places participants into groups, considering things like age, marital status, and life stage. We also do our best to honor friend and leader requests when we can. Ultimately, groups depend on who registers for each session, and we put a lot of prayer and thought into each group.
We don't want cost to keep anyone from experiencing Rooted. If the $20 fee is a barrier, scholarships are available. Email us to learn more or request assistance.
Rooted is just the beginning. At the end of the experience, you'll have the opportunity to identify your next step, whether that's serving on a team, joining a Huddle, or finding an Outpost. We'll help you figure out where to go from there.
Rooted is a 10-week experience designed to help you grow in your faith and discover what your next step could be. From there, some people continue growing through a Huddle or find community in an Outpost.
Huddles are small groups of 4 to 7 people who meet regularly for about a year to grow as disciples and learn to hear God's voice, live like Jesus, obey the Holy Spirit, and make disciples.
Outposts are groups that gather regularly to cultivate community through fellowship, Bible study, prayer, and reaching others. These gatherings happen regularly, creating a rhythm of connection and growth. It's not just about learning; it's about living out our faith in practical ways and supporting one another on our spiritual journeys.
